An Introduction To The World Of Runescape

RuneScape is a free online Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) released by Jagex Games Studio. First released in 2001, RuneScape now has an average of 10 million accounts in use per month and over 150 million registered accounts in total, making it the world’s most popular free MMORPG.

Like other MMORPGs, RuneScape is an immersive online world where players create avatars, or in-game representations of themselves. These avatars can be customized according to gender, skin color, height, size and other attributes. Once created, the player goes on a series of quests in the game, achieving goals they set for themselves over the course of their play.

The action in the RuneScape community takes place in Gielinor, a medieval world divided into different kingdoms and cities. Players are able to travel from place to place on foot if they do desire, on ships and other means of transportation, or through the use of magical spells they can acquire as they become more experienced in the game.

RuneScape guides are available and provide different types of help to players. There are guides that teach the most basic skills and character movements to beginners so that they can become familiar with the game. There are also guides whose purpose is to teach players how to develop their skills and “level up” throughout the game. It is by “leveling up” that players increase the abilities of their avatars and progress throughout the game. This happens as players interact with their environment and engage in combat with the other players or the non-player characters in the game.

The RuneScape community is made up of forums that handle a range of different topics. On the website users have access to various RuneScape forums where they can interact with other players, vote in polls, sell or trade items they have collected in the game and suggest improvements for the future.

The most popular area in the RuneScape Forums is where users interact with one another to buy and sell items acquired in game. As each character becomes more specialized, they can use what they acquire most easily to trade with other in-game opponents. These items help players in their quests, whether they are seeking to engage non-player character monsters or other in-game players.

As with other MMORPGs, players are able to communicate with one another in a variety of ways. As mentioned before they can talk to each other in the RuneScape forums, but they can also talk to each other during the game as well, choosing to either collaborate with or compete against one another in mini-games and other activities in the game. There are occasional times when the choice is not given and players must cooperate with one another to achieve an objective.
